Astrology and Kinesiology
Know Thy Self ~Socrates
I began formally studying Astrology to complement my kinesiology practice in 2008. I have been incorporating the fascinating study into my work ever since.
Astrology is the most ancient form of Psychology:
Astrology is the most ancient form of psychology known to man. Carl Jung, considered to be the father of modern psychology based his personality types on the astrological archetypes that had been developed over thousands of years by mankind as they observed the effect that the different placements of the planets at different times had on the lives of individuals and the communities they lived in.
We are born at a given moment, in a given place and, like vintage years of wine, we have the qualities of the year and of the season of which we are born. Astrology does not lay claim to anything more. ~ Carl Jung
The moment you took your first breath:
Your natal astrology chart is based on the astrological alignment of the planets at the moment you took your first breath. In that special moment, the energies of the planets left a vibrational imprint in your subtle energy field. Each one of us bears an imprint that is as unique as our own fingerprint. Our natal chart gives us an indication of how we access the vibrational energy of the planets and helps us to understand our strengths and weaknesses in different areas of our lives.
Astrology and Kinesiology:
When working with a vibrational medicine practice such as kinesiology it is possible to determine if blockages have arisen that compromise our access to the energy of the planets.
The vibrational energies of the planets are expressed in our everyday life through personality, emotion, behavior, subconcious drives, illness and physical ailments.
The Australian Bush Flower essences are also strongly linked to the energies of the planets and signs and can help balance out particular aspects of emotions and behaviour associated with vibrational astrological imbalances.
Both Astrology and Kinesiology can help you to deepen your understanding of your self and the effect that the energy at your time of birth have on your personality, the way that you deal with life’s experiences and what your key strengths and weakness might be. Astrology can help you to understand our subconscious drives and urges and upon bringing them to conscious awareness allow you more control over your reactions to experiences.
An introduction to the Planets/Signs:

Key Transits:
Sun – Transit Age: The sun returns every year at your birthday.
Solar transits highlight where you are in our life and what you have learned over the past year.
Jupiter – Transit Ages: 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84 … Approximately every 12 years we have a Jupiter Return.
Jupiter can challenge your belief in abundance and good fortune. Jupiter teaches us how to give and receive without expectation.
Saturn– Transit Ages: Age 29 is about the time Saturn returns to the position it was in at your birth. This is called the Saturn Return and occurs again at about age 58. Other significant Saturn cycles occur at ages 14-15, 22, 36, 44, 51, 66 and so on.
Saturn’s lessons often involve suffering, working and maturing in a way that is good for the soul. Saturn is about building a stronger life which may mean that it has to tear existing structures (family, friendships, career, businesses, relationships, studies) apart in order to rebuild.
Uranus – Transit Age: The most powerful Uranus transit occurs somewhere between 38 and 45 years of age.
Uranus demands you re-invent yourself. The influence of Uranus is usually about a year in duration with two or three periods of greatest intensity which may trigger crises of consciousness.
Neptune – Transit Age: Neptune makes its most potent transit somewhere around age 42-44 effective for about two years.
Neptune influences boundaries, clears barriers and influences dreams. Neptune often requires a personal sacrifice and rewards you when you willingly surrender to a deeper truth.
Suggested Kinesiology treatment plan.
We suggest an initial 90 minute kinesiology consultation followed by between 3 – 5 standard consultations 1 -2 weeks apart with lifestyle changes incorporated between sessions.
Further follow-up standard consultations should be spaced between 2 -4 weeks apart or booked as needed.
